Hello! I’m Cora Dugan. So glad you are here!
With a creative mind always at work, you’re invited to hear more:
I love people….I love to pray for them….so much that I can’t sleep at night! I pray about their issues….I think about their stories….I pray about their problems….I think about their celebrations….I pray for their families.
My passion is to know what makes people all different on social media, while Encountering Him. God is my source….How can I help them solve their issues while building a relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ?
How can I help empower them to fix their problems through prayer?
It’s a ministry to me…and I take it very seriously.
What makes me qualified to relate to people?
God says I am. He has used so much of my own pain for His Glory. He has changed me from the inside out. I used to be a mess, and stuck in my own personal growth. However, He put the right people in front of me, to heal me, to grow me, to change me. I give Him every bit of praise for this.
Don’t get me wrong…I am still a sinner that misses the mark:
I have come so far…like they say, He takes our mess and makes it into His message. This is a painful process. You will cry yourself to sleep from the pain….you will hide from the shame…you will lash out at others…it’s normal though…your soul is being renewed for Him. He is getting rid of all the bad stuff…chiseling away at the coal, to make you a diamond!
You will shine….and you will shine bright for Him and to others, once He gets going! People will be amazed of your life change! YOU will be amazed!
How did this all happen?
From being saved….at 16 years old. I was so sick and tired of living in dysfunction, a friend of mine took me to her church. I received Jesus. I was so happy to hear how He changes all the brokenness, and He fills us with His Spirit.
I lived in Detroit until I was 20 years old. Moved to a suburb right outside of Detroit at 21 years old. Married an amazing man of God, became a hairdresser…and in 2008, I started to see the social world (people) doing more for God, writing more for God, praying more for His people….and I wanted to jump in on this.
Achieving my graphic design degree in 2010, I found a connection for people through social media. All sorts of different people, writing a story, Encountering Him. Whether they are saved or not…it’s still His story…a legacy. This is the time I began to search out how to share stories on social media while helping others see more in themselves.
Here’s my encouragement: seek the book of Acts in the Bible! It’s a powerful chapter, along with all the others, about an accurate account of the birth and growth of the Christian Church. I promise you will be energized, and have a new vision in life! Want to receive the Holy Spirit in your life?
Today, I attend an amazing church where God is doing some incredible things in individuals, families and our youth! This blog is going to tell His story through me and others, that I encounter with Him. Social media is my tool. To encourage, love and support you!
I’m passionate about seeking God in all things and helping others do the same.
Matthew 6:33 says: “Seek the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added.”
I challenge you to focus…What are you looking for? Peace? Love? Acceptance? Approval? I can tell you from experience, I was looking for this and more before I Encountered Him. I don’t seek this in people in anymore….I receive all this and more from Him! We can’t trust people…but, we can trust God, with people. We can’t trust people because we are all broken and we will let the other person down and disappoint them. God designed us this way because He wants us to “DEPEND ON HIM“. NOT PEOPLE.
He has done, and is doing awesome things in my life everyday. You can have this too….if you will just trust Him. Seek out a Bible based church in your area. Get your spirit fed, and learn!
Be sure to pop over on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/CoraDugan say hello, and tell me about yourself! Looking forward to meeting you and discovering your walk with Encountering Him.
Hugs, peace, and love…
